The special appeal of de Doelen lies in its dual function as an international concert hall and conference centre. This is underlined by the design of the building: a remarkable functionalist architecture from the 1960s with spacious lobbies and various rooms in theatre style. A location, very suitable for conferences, meetings and events with spaces for meaningful encounters between participants. The plenary hall can accommodate up to 700 participants. Around the plenary hall there are many smaller meeting rooms.
